Jerk music might be first hiphop subgenre, where females are about as much in the front as men. As a matter of fact, “Boys with tattoos (we jerkin)” by The Bangz (some reason to seriously consider taking one!) above was released in youtube 12 days before than super hit “You're a jerk” by New Boyz.

And whereas Jerk is clearly developing to two distinct direction with more “pop” and more “hardcore” sound, women are represented in both of the directions, some examples of the pop direction:

Looks like the NYPD are living up to their
reputation of being bonafide
'dipshits'.

We are just getting word that NYC Police
located in what was
once known as Fort Apache-the 41st Precint in the
Bronx, have shown that
police terrorism is alive and well.

Already like 15 years any even slightly "leftwing" afroamerican protest seems to me only to appear in colleges, and all the "rappers with afros or locks" (coup, spearhead etc.) are far as ever from shaved gangsta rappers, although they would never admit it themselves (although after hyphy and crunk going mainstream we sometimes see locks also on thugs), and often in their concerts only white students. Mr. Lif is also from this series, but he is interesting in the sense that in this clip he definitely talks about experience of middle class in office slavery.

Aw, this fucking place sucks - same shit everyday Like to wring the boss' neck though, if only dreams could come true )

Beating the Rap

by Paul Rimple
11 December 2006

Georgia's street life finds expression in its own brand of hip hop. From EurasiaNet.

Since its debut in the early 1990s as underground music, rap has become a leading mainstream genre for Georgia, a country better known for the intricate melodies of polyphonic choirs than the pulsating rhythms of the hip-hop beat.

Yet while cynics may question the concept of a distinctly Georgian hip hop, the motivation driving the phenomenon is simple: a person doesn’t need much money or resources to rhyme.

"I came from the Kutaisi streets and performed on the same streets in 1990," said 35-year-old Shavi Prinsi (Black Prince), the country’s undisputed eldest hip-hopper and one of its biggest stars. Kutaisi is an industrial town of about 186,000 in western Georgia that ranks as one of the country’s rap centers. "All I had was a microphone and boom box."
